Welcome to Essential Live Feeds, the premier source for live copepods for your saltwater aquarium and outdoor pond!

We have 2 species currently available:
Nitokra lacustris
and Tigriopus californicus

Nitokra lacustris - a successful food for mandarins!  You can start your own culture to feed these hungry little guys, or buy bulk orders to add directly to your tank.
Adult Nitokra lacustris, Copyright 2000-2004

Tigriopus sp. are larger (about 2 mm length) and the nauplii are free-swimming in the water column, which make them an ideal feed for seahorses and clownfish.
